Other Permit Types

Art/Sculpture installations, community access, and construction work on park property require either a Standard Access Permit or a Community Access Permit.

    All contractors not under direct contract with the 快播视频 who will be performing work on Park District property are required to obtain an Access Permit from the 快播视频 Department of Planning & Construction.

    All persons not under direct contract with the 快播视频 who will be performing work on Park District property are required to obtain an Access Permit from the 快播视频 Department of Planning & Construction. The firm or persons performing the work should apply for the permit.

    Submittal Requirements 

    To apply for the CPD Access Permit, the contractor must submit the following to the 快播视频 Department of Planning & Construction:

    1.  Exhibit A, consisting of:
      1. A letter on the contractor's official letterhead requesting the permit, including:
        1. a detailed description of the scope of work,
        2. anticipated start-of-work and end-of-work date,
      2. a detailed site plan of each proposed work location, including:
        1. proposed access routes to and from the site,
        2. the location of proposed alternate routes and signage for pedestrian and bicycle traffic which may be restricted or redirected due to work activities (if necessary),
        3. proposed site security fencing and gate access,
        4. all trees located within the security fenced area.
    2. Exhibit B, consisting of a Certificate of Insurance, and the CG 20 26 endorsement (or current equivalent), from the contractor complying with the requirements set forth in the "Exhibit B: Access Permit Insurance Requirements," naming the 快播视频 as the Certificate Holder and as Additionally Insured.
    3. Exhibit C, consisting of the signature page of "Exhibit C: Access Permit Terms and Conditions" signed by the applicant.
    4. A copy of the contractor's complete Environmental Insurance Policy, when applicable
    5. A fully refundable security deposit in the amount of $1,500.00, check made out to the 快播视频. This amount may, at the sole discretion of the Park District, be increased.
    6. A non-refundable permit fee in the amount of $250.00, check made out to the 快播视频
    7. Construction Drawings (when applicable):
      If the proposed work requires a City of Chicago Building Permit, the contractor must submit three (3) sets of construction drawings to the CPD Department of Planning & Construction, for CPD review. The drawing set must be identical to that submitted for City permitting. The contractor should allow at least three (3) weeks for CPD review. After review and approval of the construction drawings, the CPD Planning & Construction will process the CPD Access Permit application.

    Please note: 
    Contractors with outstanding or unpaid fines and/or monetary damages assessed from previous permitted (or non-permitted) work will not be issued permit extensions or permits for new work until the outstanding assessments are paid in full.

    A minimum of three weeks review time should be allowed, once all of the application items have been received by the Park District. Additional time may be needed, depending on the nature and complexity of the project.

    All independent homeowners or community groups who wish to access 快播视频 property to self-perform work either on adjacent, private property, or directly on Park District property are required to obtain a Community Access Permit from the 快播视频 Department of Planning & Construction before beginning any project.

    These community-based projects are to be accomplished without engaging the services of a professional company, either for compensation or pro-bono. If this stipulation does not apply to the project, a standard Access Permit (above) is required.

    Submittal Requirements 

    To apply for the 快播视频 Access Permit, the homeowner or community group must submit the following to the 快播视频 Dept. of Planning & Construction:

    1. Exhibit A, consisting of:
      1. A letter requesting the permit, including:
        1. a detailed description of the scope of work,
        2. anticipated start-of-work and end-of-work dates,
      2. A detailed site plan of each proposed work location, including:
        1. proposed access routes to and from the site,
        2. the location of proposed alternate routes and signage for pedestrian and bicycle traffic which may be restricted or redirected due to work activities (if necessary),
        3. all trees located within the project area.
    2. Exhibit B, consisting of either
      1. An individual Homeowner Waiver and Release Form, signed by each person performing work on adjacent private property, or
      2. a written list of all the participants for the project, and an individual Community Group Waiver and Release Form signed by each participant.
    3. Exhibit C, consisting of the signature page of "Exhibit C: Community Access Permit Terms and Conditions" signed by the applicant.
    4. A non-refundable permit fee in the amount of $50.00, check made out to the 快播视频. 
    5. A fully-refundable security deposit in the amount of $100.00, check made out to the 快播视频.

    Cellular Infrastructure Installation

    The 快播视频 has a program that provides telecommunication firms, engineering firms, and construction firms the ability to access high-speed, affordable internet and cellular telecommunication networks throughout the park system. .

    Concessions

    The 快播视频 concession program, the sales of food, products and services throught the parks, is managed by UCG Associates. .

      The 快播视频 welcomes the use of the parks for scientific research. A Research Permit is required for most scientific activities conducted on park land, including, but not limited to: studies and surveys of humans, flora and fauna, soil, and water, and activities that involve data collection, specimen collections, and other sampling.  

      To apply for a Research Permit, submit a complete application package according to the instructions below, and please allow thirty (30) days for review.

      Submittal Requirements

      The following is required to apply for a Research Access Permit:

      1. Completion of the online Research Access Permit Application.
        Submit the Research Access Permit Application
      2. Letter of intent on the researcher鈥檚 official letterhead (uploaded via the online application), including:
        1. A detailed description of the scope of research,
        2. Anticipated start-of-research and end-of-research dates,
        3. Whether there is intent to publicize project findings in any manner, and
        4. Site plan for each park, including study/equipment location, access route(s), and parking locations. Indicate signage placement locations for park visitors if access is restricted or redirected due to research activities.
      3. Certificate of Insurance or Individual Signed Waivers
        1. Certificate of Insurance and the CG 20 26 endorsement (or current equivalent), from the researcher complying with the requirements set forth in Research Access Permit Insurance Requirements, naming the 快播视频 as the Certificate Holder and as Additionally Insured, OR
        2. A written list of all investigators/project participants and individual waivers signed by each investigator/project participant.
