After School Program

Keep your kids active and happy after school in parks!

After school programs provide a safe, fun environment for youth to participate in leisure and recreational activities outside of the traditional school day. Programs range from homework time, to drop-in programs, and our Park Kids programs.

Our popular Park Kids program is offered at more than 100 parks throughout the city, Park Kids provides a safe and fun setting for kids after school.  Activities may include sports, games, arts & crafts, nature, fitness/wellness, brain play, and homework time.

  • Ages 6-12
  • Monday - Friday, 3- 6 pm, at most parks (hours may vary)
  • Fall 2025 session TBA (following the Chicago Public Schools calendar)
