快播视频 Hosts a Variety of Free Events Across the City in Celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month

More than a dozen events in commemoration of Latin American culture and history to take place during September and October in parks

The 快播视频 is hosting free events from mid-September through October in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. These events invite people of all ages to family-friendly performances and gatherings that highlight the diversity of the rich cultures and traditions of the Latino/a/e diaspora. 快播视频鈥檚 Hispanic Heritage Month is presented by.

This year鈥檚 events include a diverse range of performances, offering park patrons unique experiences and opportunities to further connect with the cultures being celebrated. Highlights include Fiesta Mexicana Family Concert, La Cantera & Friends, and Chicago Cuatro Orchestra LIVE.

The celebrations bring the music, art, food, and more of many of Latin-American countries to parks for everyone to enjoy. The Park District recognizes all Latin American nations, including those that celebrate their independence during the course of the month- Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Mexico, Chile, and Belize. Hispanic Heritage Month begins on September 15th and will run until October 15th.

September 19, 2025

Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration

Calumet Beach, 9801 S. Avenue G, 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Join us as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month through cultural exhibits, DJ, dance performances, vendors, Selena look-alike performance, face painting, inflatables, food trucks, arts & crafts.

 

Fiesta Mexicana Family Concert

Dvorak Park, 1119 W. Cullerton St., 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

This lively performance, perfect for all ages, takes audiences on a fun adventure with good music and stories. From the lush, tropical Huasteca region with a tale about 鈥淟a Acamaya鈥 to the festive finale with a folk version of 鈥淟a Bamba鈥 from Veracruz, enjoy a musical journey that celebrates Mexico鈥檚 diverse heritage. Bring the whole family and get ready to sing, clap, and dance along!

Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration

Mozart Park, 2036 N. Avers Ave., 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Tierra Colombiana Dance Ensemble presents a celebration of art and culture for Hispanic Heritage Month. We will feature artists from Central and South America, arts and crafts for kids and adults, art vendors, and food.

 

La Cantera & Friends

Kedvale Park, 4134 W. Hirsch St., 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Experience "La Cantera & Friends," a summer series highlighting emerging local musicians collaborating with special guests to play live Latin jazz and salsa. Each performance features fresh local talent, salsa dance classes, and vibrant rhythms, creating a relaxed atmosphere for all music lovers.

 

October 3, 2025

Chicago Cuatro Orchestra LIVE

Humboldt Park, 1440 N. Humboldt Boulevard, 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

October 4, 2025

Celebrate Life's Traditions & Ritmos

Horner Park, 2741 W. Montrose Ave., 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Designed as an engaging, family-centered event, this series merges the excitement of live Latin music with a unique, hands-on percussion petting zoo, allowing participants to experience Latin American traditions firsthand. This event will coincide with Horner Park's Pumpkin Patch Festival.

 

D铆a de Los Muertos Workshops & Ofrenda Walk

Schafer Park, 8900 S. Green Bay Ave., 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Every Saturday in October, families will have the opportunity to create objects related to Dia de Los Muertos. Our culminating event will be at Schafer Park in partnership with the Urban Growers Collective, where we will host a communal altar and ofrendas created by neighborhood artists. There will be a talk on the meaning and importance of this tradition.

 

October 5, 2025

Chicago Latino Dance Festival

Humboldt Park, 1440 N. Humboldt Boulevard, 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The International Latino Cultural Center of Chicago presents the 3rd annual Chicago Latino Dance Festival in September and October of 2025. This free festival will present 20 dance performances showcasing traditional, popular, and contemporary dance from across Latin America, Spain, and Portugal.

D铆a de Los Muertos Workshops & Ofrenda Walk

Bessemer Park, 8930 S. Muskegon Ave., 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Every Saturday in October, families will have the opportunity to create objects related to Dia de Los Muertos. Our culminating event will be at Schafer Park in partnership with the Urban Growers Collective, where we will host a communal altar and ofrendas created by neighborhood artists. There will be a talk on the meaning and importance of this tradition.
