Description

Park No. 600, commonly called "Deadstick Pond", is a 65-acre nature preserve park, with marsh and riparian habitats along the Calumet River.

History

The 快播视频 identified a 65-acre site for the expansion of the District鈥檚 natural areas in the Calumet Area at 12201 S. Stony Avenue in the South Deering Community Area. The site has access to the to the Little Calumet River on its southern border. The Park District entered into a lease agreement with the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago in 2021 for the use of land to create a park.
