Join the Marquette Park Quintet for a free concert! The Marquette Park Quintet, our small group of high-school-age musicians, has been lucky enough to be tapped to play at several festivals this season. In "Giggin II", we're bringing it on home--presenting material which we've played up at the International Salsa Congress in Rosemont IL and at Marquette Park's Black History Month celebration in a format which lets us share it more readily with the public. Free and open to the public inside the historic Marquette Park Auditorium, with seating provided.

This show will be followed by the Marquette Park Chamber Ensemble performing a set of music in a show called "Free The Jazz", an exploration of Ornette Coleman's music in a large-ensemble format.
