Park No. 540 Natural Area
Description
The Park No. 540 Natural Area runs along the southern and western borders of the park, adjacent to a paved path. Stop by at different times of the year to see native wildflowers in bloom, such as the yellow umbrellas of golden Alexanders (Zizia aurea), spiky array and yucca-like leaves of rattlesnake master (Eryngium yuccifolium), or giant leaves of prairie dock (Silphium terebinthinaceum).
