This ornamental (non-food producing) garden is maintained by volunteers from the community for the beautification of the park and enjoyment of park patrons. The "Bee Balm Showcase" garden is located at 131st & Vernon Ave in the southwest section of Golden Gate Park. "Tranquility Garden" is a beautification project around a cut down tree trunk in the walkway toward the basketball court. There are also five planters throughout the project managed by community gardeners, in addition to a median with flower boxes nearby.
