We grow plants to attract butterflies and pollinators on the east side of the garden.  We have grown and will grow vegetables and herbs on the west side in raised bed planters which we have built. The goal is to teach our students about their environment, ways to do sustainable gardening, gardening basics, nutrition and sources of fresh foods in the city, especially for people on a low budget.
