Join the Marquette Park Piano Trio for a free concert! Paul Motian, the son of Armenian immigrants from Turkey, contributed heavily to American culture as a jazz drummer and a singular composer. His music, free and loose, allows a jazz band to open up and explore the atmosphere about them--floating in bliss and crackling with energy in turns. Tonight, the Marquette Park Piano Trio will dive deeply into Motian's music in the first outdoor concert of the season at the newly-inaugurated Anchor Structure behind the Marquette Park Fieldhouse. A camping chair or a blanket is recommended!
